Tetsuji wanted an abstract image for his instrumental album that would convey flow, change, and feel musical. I found this painting to use, which he thought was perfect.

CD package: Luke Kaufman
For his package, Luke sent a ton of photos to incorporate into a collage; I used broad brushstrokes to encase them and give the cover a bit of a classic "Police" look.

Album cover: Walking Into Fire
Rather than just use photos of the audiobook authors, I used iconography to help this cover stand out.
Album cover: MH-UWIT
My fourth collaboration with MH-UWIT, for this cover they requested a complex Guilloche patterned image.
CD cover: John Cate
My third CD with John Cate; this one was a very simple design, as requested, and I kept things clean and understated.
Album cover: Jason Karaban
This cover was a pretty straightforward collaboration; the image was supplied by the artist and I kept things simple. Check out his album.
British Pop
Doo Wop Romance
This was another huge project for TJL Productions for an upcoming PBS special. It involved an 8-volume CD set, a 3-DVD set, and the menus for the DVDs. All of the elements were based off of this basic design.
Single: Jon Anderson, "Race to the End"
This single for Jon Anderson was designed in just a few hours to get onto iTunes in time for the 2012 London Olympics to start.
Album cover: "Reeve"
Cover for Nick Hinton's song about Christopher Reeve. The challenge here was to reference Superman in a way that wouldn't cause any troublesome copyright issues.

Album cover design: Kayslee
I designed this cover and logotype for Kayslee under very tight timing to hit her debut date, but the client was happy with how everything turned out.
Album cover design: Sunny Ledfurd
Another album cover for Sunny Ledfurd, this was my first album cover to debut on the front page of iTunes. Check out the album!

Album design: The Mad Scientist
This CD package for The Mad Scientist was a very involved collaboration. The artist wanted to use photos of himself treated in a creative way, so I added him into environments and treated the photos as if they were old images someone had found of a mad scientist's experiments and lab. The back cover shows him in the woods looking at a mysterious monster... maybe it escaped from his lab?

CD package: Vinnie Richardson
Vinnie wanted a cover that looked like it could be an vintage vinyl album found in the crates of a record store. I used an actual image of an old 45 single for his CD label.

Album cover: Baz Stuart
Baz contacted me from London with a rush order for this cover, needing it the next day; I sent five ideas and this is the one he chose. He wanted something that referenced London as well as having a 60s flower-power vibe.
Album cover: DB "The Window 2"
DB had a complex scene in mind for his album cover: Three photos of himself in an apocalyptic burning city surrounded by flaming cars.
Album cover: Relaxing by the Stream
For this recording of a stream, the artist wanted something that'd fit in well with other albums of nature sounds.
Album cover: A|PRESENCE
This musician asked for something iconic and simple; I used a unique symbol to be an enigmatic icon.

CD cover: The Poetry of Rumi Collection
DVD/CD box sets: '60s Pop Rock & Soul
This was a huge, huge project for TJL Productions/PBS. I designed a 7-DVD box set as well as a 6-CD set, plus the DVD menus and the on-air promo graphics. Each DVD/CD had its own cover design (the CDs had the same basic designs as the DVDs, so I didn't bother to repeat those here -- just imagine these DVDs square-shaped!). The DVD/CD sets come in their own custom-designed box, and the spines needed to spell out S-I-X-T-I-E-S when all put together.
