After doing an album cover for Porscha Parker, I was asked to also do the cover for her debut DVD/CD single for the song P.E.A.C.E.

CD cover: Sunny Ledfurd

My third cover for Sunny Ledfurd; he asked for a cover image that looked laid-back and fun. I found this image of him and gave it some texture and character.

CD cover: Joe Tran / Acustika

This client had a very interesting idea: they wanted to see an old book that looked like it'd been found buried in the sand on a beach. It had to have a touch of tropical-island flair to it but not look tiki/corny. Here's the end result, which they were really happy with, saying it was exactly what they'd imagined.

CD cover: Sidewalk Beggar

A one-man guitar-free blues-hiphop-rock band called Sidewalk Beggar asked for something that would express their unique aesthetic. They dug this beat-up old amp.

Client requested a script typeface for their name, glowing blue eyes, and an artistic splash of color.

CD covers: Scotch Ale

The Italian band Scotch Ale asked me for a cover that'd be used for both versions of their song: in Italian and in English. In the end, they used two different designs for the two versions. Client supplied the logo.

This was a fun challenge... to create an album cover for a single based on the idea of an URGE. It had to be sexy without being at all explicit. I tried many different directions for the cover until the idea of a closeup of these lips came up, and it worked really well.

CD cover: Porscha Parker

A second album cover for LA label Nordstarmusic, this was for their artist Porscha Parker. They requested something with a "little bit hippie style" and sent great photos of Porscha on a beach. They ended up choosing two of my designs; either one might show up on the album cover!

CD cover: Jay Norton

Nordstarmusic, an LA record label, asked me to do two of their artists' covers. The first up was Jay Norton, a Liverpudlian singer, who wanted something classy and simple. They sent beautifully-shot photos, so my job was pretty simple on this one. A great cover photo makes all the difference.

CD cover: Noel Harrison

I was asked to do the album cover for an upcoming single by Noel Harrison (best known for the Oscar-winning song Windmills of Your Mind from The Thomas Crown Affair). He requested a phoenix rising from the cinders of a heart burnt to ash, with a vision of Avalon seen from behind the phoenix. His response to this design: "Glorious! Now I'll have to write 11 more tunes and make an album of it..."

CD cover: Camie

This electronic duo came to me with a very clear concept in mind: they wanted to be portrayed as a mystical creature and fairy in a magic Japanese forest, surrounded by a chihuahua, a Japanese schoolgirl, and an old Japanese man peeking out from the bamboo. At first, I was tempted to say "no way... it'll take way too long". But the idea was so fun that I just had to put it together for them.

It took awhile to find the images, and even longer to composite everything together... the forest, the lion (plus wings), the fairy, the dog... the old man is a photo I shot in Tokyo a few years ago...



They were very happy with the end product (which they also asked me to come up with an album title to match). It was certainly worth the effort.
