This was a super-rush project; I was given a scan of her photo at 3pm, had it cut out of its background and composited onto the Capitol Building and American flag by 3:30, and sent the art off for approval by 4. Aretha had a really clear idea of how she wanted the cover to look, which is what we ended up with.
